- The Promoter
The promoter is GRIDSERVE UK OMM Limited, Units 9 & 10 Westerngate, Hillmead Enterprise Park, Swindon, SN5 5WN (“GRIDSERVE”).
- The Promotion
2.1. The title of the promotion is: “3 Months Free GRIDSERVE Plus Membership + Free Costa Coffee with Every Charging Session for RAC Members at a GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourt” (the Promotion).
2.2. The Promotion consists of the following discounts (together, the Discounts):
- a 100% discount on GRIDSERVE Plus Membership for the first three months (the Membership Discount), after which the membership will continue at £7.99 per month unless cancelled through the GRIDSERVE App; and,
- a 100% discount on a barista‑made drink at the Costa Coffee franchise at the GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourts® located at Braintree, Norwich, London Gatwick, Stevenage and Markham Vale (the Participating Forecourts), available when the customer has an active charging session using the GRIDSERVE App (the Coffee Discount).
2.3. GRIDSERVE Plus Membership provides:
- 25% off the standard contactless price when charging your vehicle using the GRIDSERVE App at GRIDSERVE public charging stations on the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway, subject to the limitations detailed in clause 4.1; and,
- Access to 200+ charging locations nationwide, including motorway services, retail parks, destinations and Electric Forecourts®.
2.4. At the end of the three‑month free period, customers will automatically transition to the paid GRIDSERVE Plus Membership at £7.99 per month unless they cancel through the GRIDSERVE App. Customers may cancel at any time, and any cancellation made during the free period will not affect their access to Membership benefits, which will remain available until the full three month free period has concluded.
- Eligibility and Redemption
3.1. The Promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 or over who are current myRAC members, whether new or existing, and who hold a valid UK driving licence.
3.2. To redeem the Promotion and the Discounts, customers must use the link provided in the relevant section of the myRAC App, which will direct them to the GRIDSERVE website to complete the required form. Once the form has been submitted, GRIDSERVE will process the request and, once activation is complete, the customer will receive an email confirming that their Promotion is available, provided they register with the GRIDSERVE App. GRIDSERVE will use its best endeavours to process requests as soon as possible and activation typically occurs within a few hours; however, this process may take up to three days.
3.3 Use of the GRIDSERVE App is required to activate and manage membership and charging sessions, redeem the Promotion, access pricing and is subject to the GRIDSERVE Mobile App Terms & Conditions.
3.4 To redeem the Coffee Discount, customers must use the GRIDSERVE App to demonstrate to the Costa Coffee barista at a Participating GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourt® that:
- they are participating in the 3‑month free GRIDSERVE Plus Membership under this Promotion; and,
- they have an active charging session at the Forecourt.
3.5 The Promotion may be redeemed at any time between 00:00 GMT on 13 April 2026 (the Opening Date) and before 23:59 GMT on 30 June 2026 (the Closing Date) (the Promotion Period). Customers who redeem the Promotion within this period will receive the Discounts for the full duration of their entitlement.
3.6 For the avoidance of doubt, customers who redeem the Promotion on the Closing Date before 23:59 GMT will still receive the full three‑month GRIDSERVE Plus Membership period from the date of redemption and may redeem the Coffee Discount for the entirety of their entitlement period in accordance with these Terms.
3.7 Customers who complete and submit the required form during the Promotion Period will be deemed to have redeemed the Promotion within that period, even if their activation email is received after the Closing Date. The three‑month GRIDSERVE Plus Membership period will begin from the date on which the customer registers and becomes a GRIDSERVE Plus Member through the GRIDSERVE App.
3.8 Customers will be required to provide valid payment details when activating GRIDSERVE Plus Membership through the GRIDSERVE App. Payment details are collected for verification purposes and to enable continued membership should the customer continue as a paid GRIDSERVE Plus member after the three‑month free period.
- Exclusions and Limitations
4.1 The 25% discount applied under the GRIDSERVE Plus Membership is subject to a fair usage limit of 208 kWh per calendar month. Once this threshold is reached, any further charging sessions in that calendar month will be charged at the standard rate applicable to the payment method used.
4.2. The Coffee Discount applies only to barista‑made drinks ordered at the Costa Coffee franchise at the Participating GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourts® and does not apply at any other GRIDSERVE charging facilities.
4.3. The Coffee Discount excludes all food and non‑food items, including but not limited to sweet and savoury baked goods, bottled water, soft drinks, chewing gum and other retail items (the Excluded Items).
4.4. The Coffee Discount is subject to availability, and customers will be able to choose from the drink options available at the time of redemption.
4.5. The Coffee Discount may only be redeemed during the opening hours of the Costa Coffee franchise at the relevant Participating Forecourt.
4.6. Each charging session using the GRIDSERVE App may be used only once for the purposes of redeeming the Coffee Discount and must be presented at the time of purchase. GRIDSERVE staff may take note of the charging session details at the time the purchase is made.
4.7. The Promotion is limited to one redemption per day, and the Coffee Discount must be redeemed on the same day that the relevant GRIDSERVE App charging session has been completed.
4.8. The Discounts are nontransferable, nonexchangeable and nonrefundable.
4.9. The Coffee Discount cannot be exchanged for cash, upgraded to premium beverages without charge, or combined with any other offers.
4.10. The Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other GRIDSERVE discount, offer or promotion.
- Data Protection
5.1 RAC and GRIDSERVE act as independent data controllers for the purposes of this Promotion. Each party is solely responsible for the personal data it processes.
5.2 RAC will process customer data in accordance with its own privacy policy and will not share any personal data with GRIDSERVE for the purpose of this Promotion. Where the RAC app provides a link directing customers to the GRIDSERVE App, this does not involve the transfer of personal data between the parties.
5.3 If a customer chooses to proceed and create a GRIDSERVE account, they provide their personal data directly to GRIDSERVE as a new user. GRIDSERVE will process such personal data to administer the Promotion and to provide its services, and will do so independently in accordance with its Privacy Notice.
5.4 Each party remains responsible for complying with applicable data protection laws in respect of the processing it undertakes.
- General
6.1. By redeeming the Promotion, customers agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
6.2 GRIDSERVE and RAC act as independent entities and each is solely responsible for the services it provides. GRIDSERVE is solely responsible for the operation, availability and performance of GRIDSERVE Plus Membership, the GRIDSERVE App, EV charging services and all infrastructure at Participating Forecourts. RAC is solely responsible for the operation and performance of the myRAC App, RAC membership services and all RAC systems.
6.3 For the avoidance of doubt, RAC does not operate, supply or control any GRIDSERVE services, and GRIDSERVE does not operate, supply or control any RAC services. RAC’s involvement in this Promotion is limited to directing customers to the GRIDSERVE App for the purposes of redeeming the Promotion. Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as creating any partnership, joint venture, agency, fiduciary relationship or shared liability between RAC and GRIDSERVE in respect of the services each party provides.
6.4. Customers’ use of GRIDSERVE services is also subject to the GRIDSERVE Mobile App Terms and Conditions, the GRIDSERVE Plus Membership Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions for Use of a GRIDSERVE EV Charging Facility and the Electric Forecourts® Terms and Conditions of Entry, together with any other terms and conditions published within GRIDSERVE’s legal area. GRIDSERVE reserves the right to amend, update or replace any such terms or conditions at any time.
6.5 GRIDSERVE reserves the right to verify customer eligibility and to withhold, void or cancel the Discounts where it reasonably suspects misuse, fraud, or a breach of these Terms.
6.6 GRIDSERVE reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Promotion where necessary due to circumstances outside its control.
6.7 These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law, and parties submit to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
