DC Charging with the app

The price you’ll pay for DC Charging with the app is 82p/kWh to 89p/kWh at all locations*, meaning plugging in and paying via the app will be the cheapest and easiest way to charge on the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway.
This price applies whether you’re plugged into our High Power or Medium Power chargers, as you’re charged for the energy (per kWh) you receive rather than the speed of charge. We are committed to making the GRIDSERVE app the best charging experience for our customers.

DC Charging with contactless**

Pricing for DC Charging with contactless payment is based on your location, with the price ranging from 82p/kWh to 89p/kWh. This will be based on its location, demand and costs and you’ll be able to find the site price clearly displayed on the charger itself and on popular third-party apps and maps.
This price applies whether you’re plugged into our High Power or Medium Power chargers, as you’re charged for the energy (per kWh) you receive rather than the speed of charge.

AC Charging
Powerup to 360kWConnectionsCCS, CHAdeMO
At a number of our sites on the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway, including at our Electric Forecourts®, we have standalone Low Power chargers. These use a Type 2 connector with a maximum power output of 22kW. The price for standalone AC Charging is 59p/kWh.
**Please note, at some sites you will find an AC socket on Medium Power DC charging units, which are charged at the higher DC Charging rate above.
Pre-authorisation charges
Pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of funds against your payment method, which is immediately released once charging is completed.
A £30 pre-authorisation applies when using the app, while a £10 pre-authorisation is applied to all contactless payments across the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway.
