Some Electric Forecourts® feature a Little Fresh store powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out (JWO) technology. This allows customers to enter by tapping a contactless card or smart device, pick up what they need, and exit without queuing or using a checkout. 

The system uses sensors and cameras to track selected items and automatically charges the payment method used to enter. No biometric data is collected. A £10 pre-authorisation is applied at the gate. If there’s an issue at entry or with payment, support is available from the onsite staff.

  • How do I enter the store? 
    Tap a contactless card or smart device at the entry gate. Only one tap is needed per group.
  • Is there a charge to enter? 
    A ÂŁ10 pre-authorisation is applied to validate the payment method. This is not a charge.
  • What if I don’t have ÂŁ10 in my account? 
    The gate won’t open. The customer should be directed to onsite staff for support.
  • How do I get a receipt? 
    Customers can scan the QR code at the exit or sign up in-store to receive a receipt by email.
  • What if a customer is charged the wrong amount?
    • While still on site: onsite staff can process a refund using handheld tech
    • After leaving: the customer should submit a request via our support form {LINK TO ZENDESK FORM)
  • Is the store accessible? 
    Yes, entry gates accommodate wheelchairs, scooters, and pushchairs.
  • What if a customer needs help reaching shelves? 
    They can ask onsite staff before entering, request help while in the store, or ring the bell at the alcohol cabinet inside.
